Sponsoring community activities gets your company’s name out in front of people. Whether your company receives a listing in the event program, recognition on the jumbotron or signage at the event, your business name and logo will be displayed to all participants in the activity.
The more people see your company’s name, the more comfortable they become because they become familiar with your name as a part of the community. McDonald’s is a good example. They certainly don’t have the best hamburgers available, but if you’re hungry and you see a hamburger place you’re not familiar with next to a McDonald’s, nine times out of ten you’re going to go to McDonald’s simply because you are familiar with them and their products.
Increasing credibility is done by having people recognize your name, logo and company information and associating it with high-quality construction or remodeling work. You can do the best work in the world, but if the customer doesn’t remember you six months later, the quality work isn’t helping you. The more you do to help customers remember you and help prospects to associate your name with construction and remodeling, the more credibility thus referrals and business you will get.
